As practicing radiologists, we found that, despite careful control of protocols and earnest patient and technologist cooperation, many CT exams remained suboptimal. Oftentimes, contrast agents weren’t in the right place at the right time, or showed ambiguous signal. Many of our worst scans occurred in our most vulnerable patients, such as those with poor IV access, cardiovascular disease, large body habitus, or cancer.

We knew something had to change. So we founded Nextrast. Our company develops first-in-class contrast agents that reliably achieve clearer images, greater diagnostic confidence, and better outcomes for patients.
